The Glass user interface is a common and popular aspect of Windows Vista that everybody should be familiar with. But most probably, not many know that this process can be used in a Remote Desktop connection. That is if the client and the server have the right settings enabled.
Here are the requirements for this process to run successfully:
The operation system of both the server and the client has to be Windows Vista.
Both systems must be running with the Vista Aero theme.
The client must have a RAM of 512 or more and the OS must be the Enterprise or Ultimate version of Vista Windows.
If the above requirements are satisfied, it is possible to use Aero graphical interface with the use of a remote desktop connection. This post does not provide screenshot for this function this time, but hopefully one should be given soon.
There is also one concern that must be addressed: will Vista Aero work if the client’s computer does not satisfy the video card requirements.
If you have answers to this question, you are free to post your ideas on the comments section.
Although, some reports show that theoretically it is also possible to connect to a Windows Longhorn (codename of Vista) server.
